A women's leadership framework built from original research — four approaches, eight core attributes, and the language to finally name how you actually lead.
Driven, forward-moving, allergic to standing still.
Deliberate, structured, three steps ahead of the room.
Bold, disruptive, unwilling to inherit the old rules.
Relational, magnetic, leads through connection.
Dr. Ronicka Briscoe reframes four traditional leadership theories through the lens of women — and introduces four new ones.

This At HER Core™ Leadership Assessment is different from any other leadership tool you have completed. The At HER Core™ Leadership Assessment is not a test. It is validation of how you, as a woman and as a leader, approach leadership.
Designed in three parts, the assessment begins where it should, with you. Before any framework is introduced, you are asked to think deeply about how you approach leadership. From there, a carefully designed instrument identifies your Core Approach, the way you naturally lead, and your Amplifier, the orientation that supports and deepens it. The final section brings you back to where you started, a confirmation process that invites you to determine whether what the assessment revealed accurately reflects how you show up as a leader every day.
The At HER Core™ Leadership Assessment does not tell you who you should be. It gives you language precise enough to describe who you already are.
Every approach has a shadow side. Yours is named on page one of your report — not discovered the hard way, in an exit interview.
Core Approach, Amplifier, blend — a shared vocabulary you can use in a board deck, a 360 review, or a hiring conversation without translating yourself first.
Once you can name how you lead, you can teach it, delegate around it, and build a team that covers what you don't naturally do.
Not a generic archetype. Your report is built from your own five words, confirmed against the framework — the recognition moment is the whole point.
When a new project lands on your desk, your first instinct is to:
Your values, your influences, and the five words that describe you as a leader on your best day.
15 questions, four answer paths each. You answer as you naturally lead — not how you think you should.
Your five words meet the framework. You confirm the blend that's uniquely yours — one of 17.

★ Featured in New Orleans Magazine's Women of Impact, 2024Dr. Ronicka Briscoe is a nationally recognized educator, scholar, and leader with nearly twenty years of experience in leadership development. She's the founder and CEO of Winning on the Road, LLC, an organization built around elevating leaders and igniting team transformation through professional learning, executive coaching, and customized leadership development programs.
As an interdisciplinary scholar, she formally studied political science, public administration, and business on the way to her doctorate in executive leadership — with an emphasis on the lived experiences of Black women in leadership. That emphasis is the research foundation At HER Core™ is built on. Her career has taken her through the classroom as a teacher, into school administration, and onto a university faculty as a professor and department chair before she moved into consulting and executive coaching full time.
Dr. Briscoe is also a bestselling contributor to Brave Women at Work: Lessons in Leadership, author of In Relentless Pursuit of Me, and a contributor to the anthology In Relentless Pursuit of Me: Upending the Unicorn Effect, which explores what she calls the "Unicorn Effect" — the unrealistic expectations placed on Black women to excel without equal resources, pay, or recognition. It's the same throughline that runs through At HER Core™: giving women the language to describe leadership on their own terms, instead of borrowing someone else's.
Beyond At HER Core™, Dr. Briscoe runs Winning on the Road, LLC — executive coaching, customized professional development, and leadership team retreats — and already sells the companion In Relentless Pursuit Workbook directly through her site. Full details at drronickabriscoe.com.

Her Leadership. Her Language. Her Lens.
Who you are at your core will always shape how you lead.
In At HER Core™: Her Leadership. Her Language. Her Lens., scholar, author, and practitioner Dr. Ronicka Briscoe introduces readers to a groundbreaking women's leadership framework built from her original research. Dr. Briscoe reframes four traditional leadership theories through the lens of women and introduces four new approaches, eight core attributes, and seventeen distinct leadership blends that reflect the way women actually lead. Readers are taken on a journey through their own leadership — with an opportunity to reflect deeply and think intentionally about how they show up. At HER Core isn't about boxing women in. It's about giving them space to be intentional about how they describe their leadership.
At HER Core™ gives women the precise language for the leadership they have always practiced.
Are you ready to be challenged? To face yourself deeply?
Leadership clarity doesn't come from a single moment. It comes from a better understanding of who you are, why you make the choices you make, and being honest with yourself.
The At HER Core Leadership Journal is a companion to the book and the assessment, designed to take you deeper into the leadership identity you have already begun to uncover. One hundred reflective prompts. One hundred quotes from women. These prompts invite you to spend the much needed time with yourself; examining the values and identity that live beneath your titles, understanding your Core Approach and Amplifier, naming the eight attributes you already carry, and identifying the strengths that belong only to you.
The journal does not stop at the good parts. It goes where most leadership tools won't. Into how you lead, how others interpret your leadership, and the gap and realities in between. Into how you move through difficulty. Into what failure has taught you that success never could. And finally, into the forward movement that is only possible when you have done the honest work of naming yourself first.
This journal is about becoming more honest with yourself. The prompts do not ask who you want to be. They ask who you already are and whether you are moving toward what actually matters.

At HER Core™ Leadership Assessment — instant results, branded report, lifetime account access.
This is used throughout the assessment and printed on your final report.
Name five words that describe you as a leader on your best day. Write the words that come to you first — you'll see them again at the end.
Four approaches. Your answers point most strongly toward two of them — see how they compare.
Here are the five words you chose before you saw the framework. Read them against your Core Approach and Amplifier below — this is usually where it clicks.
Does this accurately reflect how you show up as a leader every day?
Core Approach: Advancement · Amplifier: Strategic — this is your talent DNA, in your own words and then in ours.
The words you chose before you saw any framework — now matched to the language of your Core Approach and Amplifier.
The attributes at the top of your profile are your most powerful natural talents. Start here — read them, name them, and use them on purpose every day.
These don't lead — they sharpen. Your amplifier is what keeps your Core Approach pointed at the right target instead of just the nearest one.
These attributes sit lower in your blend. They aren't weaknesses — they're your support system, the ones you can call on when a situation genuinely needs them.
